“What does a whole week of eating actually look like?”
It’s one thing to see the numbers and portion breakdown for a single day, but it’s another to put it into a rhythm that fits into your busy life.
That’s where most people get stuck.
The truth is, once you understand the structure of a day — breakfast, lunch, snack, and dinner — all you have to do is swap in different proteins, carbs, and fats to create variety while still staying on target.
So let’s revisit our two examples.
The first is a 240-pound man aiming to lose 40 pounds with a calorie target of about 2,100 per day.
The second is a 160-pound woman looking to lose 15 pounds with a daily target closer to 1,600 calories.
The template stays the same — four meals a day built around lean protein, balanced carbs, healthy fats, and plenty of vegetables — but the portion sizes and calorie totals adjust to fit each person’s needs.
For both, let’s start with the foundation: breakfast is anchored by protein and carbs to start the day with energy, lunch is a balanced meal of lean protein and vegetables with a moderate carb, the afternoon snack bridges the gap with something quick but nutrient-dense, and dinner closes the day with another lean protein, veggies, and a mix of carbs and fats.
That’s the system. Once you understand it, the combinations are endless.
