Here Is How The Process Works
We would love the opportunity to help you in your health and fitness journey. See below to find out how we can best support you along the way.
Step #1
Schedule a FREE Consultation
Your fitness journey starts with your initial consultation. To ensure you're on the right path, one of our expert teammates will sit down with you to discuss your goals and create a "roadmap" to your success.
Step #2
We Customize The Perfect Program
Based on your specific goals, schedule, and lifestyle, we will design the perfect training program and schedule to help you achieve your goals in the fastest but yet safest way possible.
Step #3
Follow The Plan & Achieve Your Goals
Whatever your goal may be, we are here to provide you with the support, accountability, and any additional resources that you may need to achieve all of your health and fitness goals.
Personal Training Designed Around You
A Personalized Plan. Expert Coaching. Accountability. Real Results.
At CT Workout, we believe the best personal training program isn't the one that's the hardest—it's the one that's right for you.
That's why you'll never receive a cookie-cutter workout or be expected to keep up with everyone else.
Whether you want to lose weight, build strength, improve your mobility, have more energy, or simply feel healthier and more confident, we'll create a personalized fitness program based on your goals, your abilities, your lifestyle, and your body.
And you won't have to figure it out alone.
From your very first workout, you'll have experienced coaches guiding you, keeping you accountable, and adjusting your program as you progress.
Here's How Personal Training at CT Workout Works
Step 1: We Start by Getting to Know You
Before we ever design your first workout, we want to understand you.
Your goals.
Your exercise history.
Your lifestyle.
Your schedule.
Any injuries, aches, pains, or limitations.
And most importantly, what you'd like to be able to do that you can't—or don't feel comfortable doing—right now.
That's why every new personal training client begins with a Personal Success Session.
During this one-on-one meeting with one of our coaches, we'll discuss where you are today, where you'd like to be, what's worked or hasn't worked for you in the past, and what may have been preventing you from reaching your goals.
We'll answer your questions and begin creating a realistic roadmap to help you succeed.
Because before we can build the right program, we need to understand the person we're building it for.
Step 2: We Come Up With A Plan of Success
Once we understand your goals, we'll take the guesswork out of getting there.
Instead of wondering what exercises you should do, how often you should work out, what you should eat, or whether you're doing enough, we'll create a clear plan for you.
Your personal training program is designed around your goals, current fitness level, exercise history, schedule, lifestyle, injuries, limitations, and preferences.
If you haven't exercised in 10 or 20 years, we'll meet you there.
If you have a bad knee or an old shoulder injury, we'll work around it.
If you're already active but want to become stronger, we'll challenge you appropriately.
And as you improve, your program will improve with you.
You Never Have to Wonder, "What Should I Do?"
That's one of the biggest differences between CT Workout and a traditional gym.
We don't simply sign you up, hand you a membership card, and leave you to figure everything out on your own.
And we don't give everyone the same workout.
What you need to achieve your goals may be completely different from what the person training next to you needs.
That's exactly how it should be.
Your program is yours.
Step 3: You Work With A Coach At Every Workout
Having the perfect workout program doesn't mean much if you don't know how to perform the exercises correctly—or if you don't show up consistently enough to get results.
That's why every personal training workout at CT Workout is supervised by an experienced coach.
Your coach will teach you proper technique, help you select the appropriate resistance, modify exercises when necessary, monitor your progress, and make sure you're getting the most from every workout.
You'll never be left wandering around the gym wondering what you're supposed to do next.
And because your workouts are scheduled in advance, you have something else that's incredibly important:
Accountability.
It's much easier to skip a workout when nobody is expecting you.
When you have an appointment and a coach waiting for you, showing up becomes part of your routine.
Over time, that consistency is what produces results.
The Personal Attention of Personal Training—Without Having to Exercise Alone
Our Personal Training in Newington, CT combines individualized programming and expert coaching with the energy and encouragement of training alongside other members.
Rather than having six people perform the exact same workout, each person follows their own individualized training program based on their specific goals and abilities.
Your workout may be completely different from the person standing next to you.
With a coach-to-client ratio of up to 1:6, our coaches are always nearby to teach, correct, modify, encourage, and answer questions.
You get the personalized attention and programming you'd expect from personal training while also enjoying something traditional one-on-one training can't always provide:
Community.
You'll quickly discover that our members encourage each other, celebrate accomplishments, and genuinely want to see one another succeed.
It's personalized training without feeling like you're doing it alone.
Want Even More Variety? Join Our Group Training Workouts
Personal training is the foundation of your program, but many members also enjoy participating in our Group Training sessions.
These coach-led workouts provide a fun, energetic environment where you can improve your strength, endurance, and overall fitness alongside other CT Workout members.
Our group workouts incorporate a variety of training methods and equipment, including kettlebells, suspension trainers, sleds, battling ropes, resistance training, and more.
And because exercises can be modified for different abilities, you don't need to be an athlete—or already be in great shape—to participate.
You simply work at your level.
The combination of personalized training and group workouts gives you structure, variety, coaching, accountability, and community—all under one roof.
Step 4: We Regularly Check In on Your Progress
Getting started is important.
But what happens three months from now matters even more.
That's why coaching at CT Workout doesn't end when your workout does.
We'll regularly check in with you to see what's working, where you're struggling, and what we can do to help you continue moving forward.
These Strategy Sessions give us an opportunity to discuss your progress, nutrition, challenges, habits, and goals.
We'll also review progress measurements when appropriate so you can see the changes that aren't always obvious when you look in the mirror every day.
Maybe you've lost inches.
Maybe you're stronger.
Maybe your clothes fit differently.
Maybe exercises that once felt difficult now feel easy.
Or maybe you've hit a plateau and something needs to change.
That's exactly why we check in.
You should never have to wonder whether your program is working.
Step 5: Your Program Will Progress as You Progress
The program that's right for you today probably shouldn't be the same program you're following six months from now.
Because you're going to change.
You'll become stronger.
Your fitness will improve.
Exercises will become easier.
Your goals may change.
And sometimes life throws you a curveball—an injury, vacation, busy work schedule, or other challenge.
Your training should adapt with you.
That's why we'll continually evaluate and adjust your program based on your progress, feedback, goals, and how your body is responding.
If an exercise bothers your knee, we'll modify it.
If you've become stronger, we'll progress it.
If something isn't producing the result we want, we'll change it.
If you reach one goal and decide you want to chase another, we'll build the next plan.
As You Progress, Your Workouts Progress With You.
That's how personalized training should work.
Personal Training Isn't Just About Exercise
Most people don't struggle because they don't know that exercise is good for them.
They struggle with knowing what to do, how to do it safely, and how to stay consistent long enough to see results.
That's where CT Workout comes in.
We provide the plan.
We teach you what to do.
We help you exercise safely.
We keep you accountable.
We track your progress.
We adjust your program.
And we'll be there to encourage you when motivation isn't.
Your responsibility?
Show up and give us your best.
We'll help you with the rest.
Who Is CT Workout Personal Training For?
Our personal training programs are especially well suited for adults who want more guidance and support than they'll receive from a traditional gym.
Maybe you haven't exercised in years and don't know where to begin.
Maybe you've joined gyms before but stopped going after a few weeks.
Maybe you have bad knees, back pain, an old injury, or another limitation that makes you nervous about exercising.
Maybe you've been exercising on your own but aren't seeing the results you want.
Or maybe you've reached a point where you realize your health is too important to keep putting off.
You don't need to be young.
You don't need to be athletic.
And you don't need to get in shape before you start personal training.
That's what we're here to help you do.
What Can Personal Training Help You Accomplish?
Everyone comes to CT Workout with different goals.
You may want to lose 20 or 30 pounds and finally feel comfortable in your clothes again.
You may want to build strength so climbing stairs, carrying groceries, doing yard work, or getting up from the floor becomes easier.
You may want better balance and mobility so you can stay active and independent as you get older.
You may simply want more energy so you can enjoy your life instead of feeling exhausted all the time.
Or perhaps your goal is simply to look in the mirror and feel like yourself again.
Whatever your reason for starting, we'll help you create a realistic plan for getting there.
