Last night after boot camp class we were discussing how to lose weight it ultimately comes down to burning more calories than you consume. Calories in vs. calories out. It sounds pretty simple right? Just eat the right amount of calories and increase the amount of calories you burn.

A couple years ago there was a lot of talk about the diet of Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps. It was well publicized that while training for the Olympics, his diet consisted of eating 12,000 calories a day. The crazy thing about that he said that he was still struggling just to maintain his weight. Most people were asking, “How could he possibly be eating that much and not get fat?” Well it’s simple, because he was burning that many calories per day with all of his training.

Here is a funny video of what would happen to the average person if we tried the Micheal Phelps Diet. You have to watch its HILARIOUS its a from Saturday Night Live!

This is what would happen if the majority of us tried the Michael Phelps 12,000 calorie a day diet!

You can still enjoy food, but if you want to have a cheat meal, you have to burn it and earn it first!

I would love to hear what you have to say about this, please leave your comments in the box below.
